Description

Chicken Hawk: Men Who Love Boys is a 1994 award-winning documentary produced, written and directed by Adi Sideman (CEO of YouNow).

The film profiles members of the pedophile/pederasty organization NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association) who discuss sexual relationships between men and boys below the age of consent.

The film is an exposé on the group’s controversial beliefs and their clandestine lifestyle. Sideman’s evenhanded approach provides the audience with an insight into the group members’ psyches.

The film has drawn attention for its unique approach: letting its subjects, the members, incriminate themselves in a public forum. Since its release, the film has been screened for law enforcement agencies, university criminology departments and the FBI.

The term “chickenhawk” is used in gay slang to refer to an older man who chases after younger men

This deeply disturbing documentary steps inside of the group known as NAMBLA, an acronym for the North American Man/Boy Love Association.

As its name implies, the said society openly encourages and promulgates pedophilic relationships between adult men and young boys, giving rise to overwhelming fear among parents and counteractive measures from the FBI.

The film raises questions about the appropriate age of consent for young men, and provides behavioral insights into pedophilia; in it, five members of NAMBLA also step forward and talk about the emotional satisfaction they derive from “boy loving.”
