User review:
I haven’t watched this film all the way through but I recently managed to get hold of a copy as it was shot here in Herne Bay!
Along with French Dressing (also filmed in Herne Bay) this is a great film for seeing Herne Bay as it used to be! It was filmed in 1976 as far as I can tell, and almost an hour of the film is in Herne Bay. The kids spend a lot of time in the arcades and even go to the old cinema that’s now been knocked down, and along the pier! There’s a town carnival and dancing in the Bandstand, and scenes filmed inside the grounds of the Catholic school.

I liked it, funny and I could relate to the main character having gone through similar experiences as a kid.
