Despite no subtitles, the Scandinavian language is easy to follow here. Body language and facial expression explains a lot. There is a lot of fantasy in this film. Sometimes it looks a lot like a Fellini-film, at other times it seems like I’m looking at Peter Greenaway. Animals, in all shapes, play an important role. The main role and carrier of this entire film is really the boy who plays the little Riki. Very nice movie. A biographical book story, by the way.
