Storyline:

Forced to fend for himself on the streets, 13-year-old Zack has just been pushed out of his dysfunctional home by Wayne, his mother’s sadistic boyfriend. When the two are brought back together by a murder, only one will survive this bloody tale of revenge.

This movie is one dark and depressing story about a young boy and his mother and her violent boyfriend and what happens to them all over the course of a few days.

A lot of the story is told in flashbacks; that illuminate the decisions that the boy and his mother make to try and survive in a cruel world.

The story is actually very well acted and well told; but anyone looking for an uplifting story better look elsewhere.

A solid 5 out of 10 for the quality of the story.
