Description
Deep in the Wood 2015
In fondo al bosco (original title)
1h 32min | Mystery, Thriller | 19 November 2015 (Italy)
Storyline:Winter 2010. Dolomites. Tommaso Conci, a 4 year old child, disappears during a festival where people disguised as devils, the Krampus, terrorize the village with whips and chains. Five years later, a child was found nameless and without documents. DNA matches: he is Tommi. Manuel, the father, can finally embrace his son. The mother, Linda, however, can not adapt to the new situation. A suspect digs inside her: what if that child is not really her son?User review:While the pacing at times felt like a crawl and having the mild but manageable challenge of subtitles which I tend to avoid, this film really did a great job of not being predictable. It kept you guessing as far as what actually happened, who or what was involved, and the ending really throws curveballs at you. I wouldn’t say its top notch by any stretch, but I certainly will put it in the above average category. Worth a watch if you happen across it.
