User review:

The nine Matthew circulates between orphanages and foster families further. Everywhere met with humiliation and lack of love. In the end goes into the street, where the police for stealing bread sends it to the reformatory. Stringent conditions prevailing there, the violence between pupils and sadistic guardians make this place seems to be a boy as hell on earth. Matthew slowly finds himself in a new environment and dreams of becoming a sports commentator.
Christopher Ciupa (approx. 10 years) as Matthew

In the film, Jack Filipiak watching with sad eyes of children who are waiting for something that may never come, correctional homes of pupils and teachers, who tend to be more enemies than caregivers. This image of educational institutions often present in film and literature. In the case of “broken” It looks pretty stereotypical, but the whole is presented in a very reliable way, because the inspiration for the story was the fate of a film director friend, who spent many years in educational institutions.
